Adding Calendar Events from Gmail
Beyond the existing capabilities of Gemini in Gmail to handle calendar inquiries and actions, a new feature allows for direct event creation from within an email.
Now, when an email contains content related to calendar events, Gemini will automatically identify it and display an “Add to calendar” button. Selecting this button will open the Gmail side panel, confirming that the event has been added to your calendar. This provides a more seamless way to schedule events based on information received via email.
