What’s changing
Google Chat’s Spaces are designed for topic-based conversations with multiple people. However, sometimes a group direct message is preferred. To improve management and searchability of these group DMs, Google now allows users to name both new and existing group direct messages. This should make it easier to find specific conversations later.
